The development of this interior design project stands out for the incorporation of very simple elements in all spaces, allowing for a sense of unity between each of the apartment’s environments.

Divided into two levels, the upper level or social level stands out for its privileged view of the city and the eastern hills, which led to simplifying the forms and materials to not detract from the surroundings. The lower level, or residential level, articulated by a TV room, is designed as a retreat space, where once again the use of noble materials such as wood provides warmth and comfort to the home.

Under the philosophy of merging contemporary design with traditional elements, the GO apartment is a penthouse of approximately 700 square meters, where each space seeks to reflect both the owner’s personality and the functionality intended for each corner of this project.

Developed over two levels, the project divided its spaces to create a fluid transition between public and private areas. On the second level, complemented by panoramic views of both the eastern hills and the city, the more social part of the apartment unfolds, with the living room and study being two of the main spaces on this level. On the first level, the bedrooms converge in a lounge area that becomes the heart of this level, providing a space with the warmth of a social area while maintaining the privacy appropriate to this section of the apartment.

With the premise of developing an interior design project with a lot of personality while at the same time conveying a sense of tranquility, apartment IR focused on adopting the clients’ needs and delivering very particular spaces that had coherence among them.

From the flexibility of being able to open or close the kitchen space to the incorporation of a private space such as an office, the apartment feels like a whole where the transition between spaces is marked by thresholds both physical and imaginary.

Using a clear color palette mixed with the use of wood, apartment IR seeks to merge with the context, which is highlighted by a privileged view of both the urban and natural surroundings.

The interior design of this apartment was guided by the conviction to create minimalist spaces. Following a very specific color palette, complete cohesion was achieved in the apartment, allowing for the later addition, under appropriate conditions, of carefully curated furniture and artworks.

The management of light also played a very important role in this process. Depending on the space, special equipment was used to create specialized atmospheres, thereby accentuating what was accomplished in the architecture through the manipulation of light.

This 1920s house is located in the Fuente del Berro neighborhood in Madrid. We aimed to redesign the house to take advantage of its excellent location within the city and its privileged setting around a large garden.

By redesigning the entire house, we were able to modify the layout, which originally housed a religious community, to redistribute all levels and thus provide spacious, well-lit, and well-ventilated areas facing the greenery.

The goal was to design an ideal home for a family seeking to live in the city surrounded by a garden. The layout is resolved over three levels: on the first level, service areas connected by light wells and two workspaces; on the second level, or entry level, the kitchen and social area that connects to the garden through a porch; on the third level, the bedrooms.

With this renovation, we aim to offer the layout of a house typically found in the outskirts within a central area just a few blocks from El Retiro Park in Salamanca.
