Year 2020

In this 212 square meter apartment, the challenge was to create a minimalist and cozy space where the interplay of wood, white walls, and greenery would be the protagonists.

This “light wagon” takes advantage of its privileged location within the Santa María Urban Reserve and through floor-to-ceiling windows manages to integrate the terraces and the predominant greenery, generating a sensation of being in a house surrounded by nature.

Its orientation allows for a constant and ample entry of natural light through the east facade. This illuminates the kitchen and bathrooms during the morning, the bedrooms and social area during the afternoon. Additionally, due to its location on the top floor of the building, a large amount of light is captured through skylights.

Wood, White color and Plants

The wood is used in different forms; grids for the main library of the living room, paneled walls that enter the rooms giving warmth to the spaces, and sliding doors in slats that build a lattice between the kitchen and the living room.

The white, in turn, is used to paint the fireplace wall and expand this space, on the walls, and as a neutral color in the kitchen and all bathrooms.

The greenery of the vegetation is the backdrop that embraces the apartment and filters the direct light that enters the spaces.
