The BH apartment faced the challenge of adjusting the original layout to further regularize the spaces and deliver broader areas that could accommodate specific uses while also seamlessly integrating with one another, forming a communal space where residents could gather.
Currently, the kitchen space has two main alternatives: it is either completely open or completely closed. We sought to create the ability to transform and integrate this space if desired.
The BH apartment incorporated a wooden door approximately 6 meters long, which can be completely hidden to integrate or separate the kitchen space from the dining area. This feature provides greater flexibility to a use that is conventionally very restricted but, in this case, has been adapted for manipulation according to the client’s needs.
